Roger received a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Arts from The Ohio State University. Prior to co-founding GreenTech Solar & Building Solutions, Roger worked 36 years as a High School Technology Education teacher. In addition, he was an Instructor at The Ohio State University College of Education and also lectured at The Ohio State University School of Construction Management. He received the Ashland Teacher Award for Ohio in 2000. With 38 years of construction experience, Roger participated in the construction of 11 affordable homes and was the Site Leader for six of the homes. He was the Project Manager and Builder of the first LEED Platinum Certified Home in Ohio and the Great Lakes Region. In 2009 Roger received the SWACO Emerald Award for Environmental Education. Roger is married with three children and lives in a Solar Powered Home in Worthington Ohio. |
Scotte received a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, and is a NABCEP Certified PV Installer. Prior to co-founding GreenTech Solar & Building Solutions, Scotte worked 17 years as an engineer in several sectors including Information Technology, Automotive, Telecommunications, Electronic Commerce and State Government. A Lifetime Member of Green Energy Ohio, Scotte received the Pioneer of the Year award in 2004 as a member of the "Green Team" for installing a 3.3kW Solar PV system at the Ohio Governor's Residence, and received the GEO Volunteer of the Year award in 2007. Scotte is also a Lifetime Member of the American Solar Energy Society and is Chair of the Renewable Fuels & Sustainable Transportation Division of ASES. He has attended and presented at several national solar conferences, was a member of the Technical Review Committee for the Solar 2009 conference in Buffalo NY, and is currently a member of the Technical Review Committee for the Solar 2011 conference in Raleigh, NC. Scotte is married with three children and lives in a Solar Powered Home in Lewis Center Ohio. |
